Today was the first episode of EIV’s The Uplink, tech executive produced by a good friend. The entire front row consisted of talented people and I of course was the lighting designer/Video Operator.
We were going to chip at 12:15, during audience load in. BUT we didn’t stop rehearsal until 12:25ish.
Minutes before our air time of 12:30PM, I ran into studio A, put the white card up and was still white balancing when the AD started to say 45 seconds. 40 seconds to air, I finished the chip and shouted across control: “Get the white card out. NOW.”
I chipped a 4-camera show with two light set-ups in 2 minutes. 2. Minutes.
God I love TV.
Congrats Rob on a fantastic first episode! When it’s up, I’ll share since it’s geektastic.
